MAX!!

MAX is a one-year-old goofball of a German Shepherd, possibly with some Anatolian Shepherd in him, judging by his impressive height for his age! He lumbers around with a distinct duck-like stride and helicopter ears, and a tongue that often hangs out sideways. Max absolutely adores his dog friends, big or small, and loves to engage in a good game of backyard wrestling. He's learned to contain his playful wrestling energy indoors, but he's also happy to lounge around the house. Once Max trusts you, he becomes incredibly loyal and listens well, especially when treats are involved. He knows commands like sit, down, and paw – which he'll use to get your attention for a treat! Max is a natural protector and will diligently guard you, even escorting you into the bathroom for shower time. He does have a habit of mistaking fingers for treats sometimes, but he's learning to curb that.

Ideal Home

Max would thrive in a home with at least one other dog to help him expend energy and provide companionship. He is a little fearful of females and will back off when directed to do so.

Ongoing Health

Max is neutered and up to date on his shots.

Training & Support

Max is willing to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. He has some commands down and is eager to please. He needs guidance to help him make the right decisions as he learns about the world.
