Ritchey Roo, estimated to be 5-6 years old, is an exuberant and jubilant boy who also knows how to relax. He was made to be a best friend and is all about humans. Ritchey loves to lounge around inside and out, and enjoys affection time. He is a great pup to have in your home, ideally with access to a fenced yard. Ritchey is house-trained and is okay hanging out on his own when left home alone.
While he can be a quiet couch potato, Ritchey can also be consistently energetic. He enjoys car rides and walks, though he does require some leash training as he is a strong puller. He can be gentle, but also a bit rambunctious with his jumping when excited, especially around food or when a leash is in hand. Ritchey can be vocal, but only when he has something to say, and it's usually quite humorous. He has spent time in foster care and boarding facilities, doing well wherever he goes and being a favorite due to his easy-going nature and good company.
Ideal Home
Ritchey would do best as the only spoiled pup in the home.
Ongoing Health
Ritchey came to us underweight and has since gained to 90 lbs. He could stand to go on a diet and/or increase his physical activity.
Training & Support
Ritchey has learned the command "OVER" to give more space in bed. He requires leash training as he is a strong puller. He can be relentless with his jumping and excitement, especially when food or a leash are involved. He is not 100% sure how he is around other dogs, but has been non-reactive in boarding facilities. He has been declined into daycare due to overwhelming excitement.
