About Hope Loves all the Treats
Hope is one of those dogs who doesn't run into anything... Except treats! Once she realizes you might have a snack or gentle hands ready for pets, her soft personality shines through. She loves affection, belly rubs, and she's happiest just being near her people, soaking up love at her own pace. Treats are absolutely her favorite thing, and she'll gladly show off her manners for one. She also enjoys toys and had fun playing with them, but overall, Hope is more of a laid-back, relaxed girl than a rowdy one. She walks nicely on a leash and would be perfectly content with a few strolls a day followed by long naps. Hope is believed to be an American Pitbull Terrier - American Staffordshire Terrier mix, around six years old and weighing about 51 pounds. She is people-friendly but appreciates a moment to warm up, and once she does, she's incredibly sweet and affectionate. Hope is more of an aloof, independent lady when it comes to other dogs. She coexists very well, calmly sharing yards, allowing sniffs, and minding her business; she doesn't seek out playtime but tolerates other dogs nicely. She would be happy as an only dog but could also live with a low-energy, respectful dog who understands personal space. She is quiet, calm, and low-key, making her a great candidate for an apartment with regular walks and enrichment. She did a cat test and allowed the cat to sniff her closely without reaction, though the test was inconclusive, and further testing would be needed as it's a new environment with a lot going on. She has not been kid-tested either, but we believe she would be best with older kids who understand boundaries and respect a dog's space. Hope in a nutshell: Calm, Quiet, Affectionate, Treat lover, Queen of belly rubs. Hope is the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much—only kindness, patience, and of course, treats. In return, she offers quiet loyalty, gentle love, and the sweetest companionship.
