Maya

Maya is a sweet 67 lb girl who is eager to be your shadow! She came to us with some health concerns, including a mammary tumor that has since been removed, severe anemia that required a blood transfusion, and a diagnosis of Tick Fever. Despite her past, Maya is doing wonderfully and is a happy, contented companion. Her foster mom says she's incredibly loving and always wants to be by your side. Maya is curious and friendly with other dogs, showing no aggression. She has excellent house manners, comes when called, and is content to rest in her bed when you're away. She's also a true fan of balls and gets very excited when she sees them! Maya is ready to find her forever home and will bring joy and devotion to your family.

Maya would thrive in a home where she can be close to her people.

Ongoing Health

Maya's vet has recommended medical retesting for cancer every 3 months for up to a year. Local adoption is preferred due to the potential costs of future treatment, but this is not a dealbreaker if you are prepared for this possibility.

Training & Support

Maya has good manners in the house and is well-behaved when left alone. She is also very cooperative when it comes to her medical care.
