Melody

Meet Melody! This sweet, shy girl was found in January during a cold snap, running as a stray and leading volunteers to her newborn pups. She was emaciated and suffering from flea dermatitis, having given everything to her babies. After being trapped, she's made wonderful progress over the last 12 weeks, both physically and mentally. While still a bit timid, she's now settling in wonderfully and even plopped down on the couch with her foster family as if she'd always been there! She's a laid-back, approximately 2-3 year old Shepherd mix, weighing around 50 lbs.

Ideal Home

Melody would thrive in an older, calmer home environment.

Ongoing Health

Melody is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and spayed. She has recovered from flea dermatitis and is now at an appropriate weight.

Training & Support

Melody is doing great in the house and doesn't mind a crate. She is good with other dogs. We never state any animal is fully house-trained, but she is showing great promise!

• Adoptions are not on a first come, first serve basis.
• All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age-appropriate shots, dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if at least 16 weeks), and spay/neuter.
