Meet Remington!

Remington is a handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd who weighs a hefty 102 pounds. He was a beloved member of his previous family for all of his young life until a divorce meant he needed a new home. Thankfully, our rescue team swooped in and brought this sweet boy to safety. While his current size makes him a lower-energy companion, he's otherwise healthy and his foster family is dedicated to helping him reach his target weight of around 60 pounds through a healthy diet and regular walks. He's a loyal, cuddly, and alert Aussie who loves to play fetch and is always eager for a game. Remington gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, and he's already mastered "sit" and "hug." Due to his love for food, he'll need to be fed separately from other dogs for now. He's a gentle giant who adores children, and his past bond with a teenager has translated into a loving connection with all young humans.

Remington would thrive in a home committed to his weight-loss journey, providing plenty of opportunities for walks and room to roam.

Remington is currently overweight, weighing 102 pounds and aiming for a healthy weight of around 60 pounds. He is otherwise healthy and enjoys his walks.

Training & Support

Remington knows "sit" and "hug." He is a well-behaved boy but may need separate feeding from other dogs due to resource guarding his food.
