About Snickers
Snickers is an adorable Chihuahua boy weighing about 7.7 lbs. He is social with dogs, children, men, and women, and he loves meeting new friends. This little guy is full of joy and energy. Snickers enjoys running, playing, and being part of the action. He is a small dog with a big personality and a loving heart. He is not a frequent barker and is happiest when he is surrounded by people and companionship. Snickers sleeps in an open crate at night and is comfortable going in and out on his own. He is still young and curious, so chewing is one of his favorite hobbies. Snickers was born in a home where his future was uncertain. When the puppies became older and required more care, they were neglected and sometimes left without food. Eventually, we stepped in to help ensure they would have the opportunity to find loving homes. Now Snickers is thriving and looking for a family that will love him for the rest of his life. He is ready to trade uncertainty for security, and he has so much love to give in return.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, experience in dog behavior and training (or a willingness to hire a trainer), and high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. He is NOT house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Snickers has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, and tested for 4DX and heartworm (negative). He receives monthly preventive protection against fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Snickers is not house-trained and enjoys chewing, so his future family should be prepared to provide guidance and plenty of appropriate chew toys. Patience and understanding are crucial for rescued dogs as they adjust to a new environment.
