Huey is a handsome 2-year-old, approximately 56 lb, Labrador mix with legs made for adventure and a heart full of love to share. His expressive ears don't miss a thing, and he's athletic, personable, and ready to be your loyal companion. He's been living in a loving foster home, mastering skills to be the best boy he can be, making him home-life ready. Huey is incredibly smart, motivated, and thrives with confident leadership and clear boundaries. He's a ninja-like shadow, enjoying following his people around and being close to them. He's also crate-trained, house-trained, and knows how to settle indoors.

Ideal Home

Huey would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run and play. He's not suited for apartment living due to his love for the outdoors and his ongoing leash training in busy areas. While he has enjoyed living with children and other dogs, he is looking for a quieter, more peaceful home environment long-term.

Huey is a rescue and while he is healthy and has received thorough vetting, his exact background cannot be guaranteed.

Training & Support

Huey responds well to confidence and boundaries. He can exhibit resource guarding, specifically around food, with other dogs. This is easily managed by feeding him and other dogs separately, such as in crates, or in a one-dog household. With consistent structure and a calm, loving person by his side, Huey will succeed.
