Alba

Alba is a delightful 1-year-old female Labrador Creole mix, weighing around 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Alba is a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful pup who is energetic and sociable with people of all ages, including children, and other dogs. She enjoys playtime, walks, running, and showering her humans with affection. While a little shy when first meeting new people, she quickly warms up and melts into your arms. Alba is also a dog and cat-friendly companion, known for being very affectionate, docile, playful, loyal, and joyful. She is already crate and leash trained. Alba was rescued as a tiny newborn puppy along with her six siblings in the middle of a field.

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. A home with an open conscience towards the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals, along with experience in dog behavior and training, would be ideal. She requires high tolerance and patience, as she is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Alba has undergone a comprehensive health protocol. She has been spayed/neutered, received two DHPPI vaccines, a Rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has also been dewormed, microchipped, and tested for 4DX and heartworm, with negative certificates for both. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm, and has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Alba is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared to work on this. She also requires ongoing patience and understanding as she continues to learn and grow.

Transporation

Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address on the East Coast is available for an additional fee of $400.00, to be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
