Meet Camila and Regina, a bonded pair of sweet and social Shih Tzu sisters looking for a loving home together! Camila is a year old and weighs about 8.6 lbs, while her younger sister Regina is 10 months old and around 8.2 lbs. These two affectionate girls adore people and showering their humans with love. They walk well on a leash, are comfortable with crates, and travel nicely in the car. Camila and Regina get along wonderfully with other dogs, men, and women, and they love meeting new people. They were found wandering together in Saltillo, Mexico, and after a vet evaluation, they've been cared for in a shelter, waiting for their second chance at a happy life.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard, an active family that enjoys outdoor activities, and a genuine intention to rescue and provide a forever home. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. A high tolerance for and patience with rescued puppies is essential.
Ongoing Health
Both Camila and Regina have received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. They also have health certificates and vaccine booklets.
Training & Support
Camila and Regina are not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may need an adjustment period, and patience and understanding are crucial to help them build trust and adapt to their new environment. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help them feel secure.
