Javi

Javi is a sweet boy who was brought in as a stray and is now looking for a new home. He can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he's comfortable, he's extremely affectionate. Javi is estimated to be between 1-2 years old and appears to be a German Shepherd-Pit mix weighing around 80lbs. He's a big, strong boy who knows most basic commands and seems to be housetrained.

Ideal Home

Javi would do best in a home with no other animals, but he has potential to bond with a young, submissive dog with proper introductions. He would be a great companion for older children, 12 and up, who can respect his boundaries and keep up with his energetic nature. He might accidentally knock over smaller children and would not appreciate them being overly boisterous around him.

Ongoing Health

Javi is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

He will need some work on leash walking, as he can pull quite strongly. While he hasn't gotten along with adult dogs at the shelter, he has shown positive interactions with young puppies. He has not been exposed to cats.
