Cornbread

Meet Cornbread! This adorable 89-week-old puppy is a real sweetheart who is already growing into a substantial pup. He was found with his mother at the Weslaco shelter in South Texas. While we don't know who his dad was, based on Cornbread's size, he might have been in the 20-25 pound range. He's a fast grower, but one thing is for sure: Cornbread is an absolute joy!

Ideal Home

Cornbread is thriving in a foster home where he's learning the ropes and soaking up all the love and guidance. He would do wonderfully in a family with children or in an active home that can provide the exercise, structure, and affection every growing puppy needs.

Ongoing Health

Cornbread will receive Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate), all core vaccines (age-appropriate), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, regular deworming, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. Please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease, as it's endemic in the southern United States.

Training & Support

Cornbread is doing great with the basics in his foster home and is eager to continue learning. With consistent training and affection, he's sure to become an even more amazing companion.

Transportation

Cornbread is currently located near San Antonio, TX. He is available for transport to Chelsea, MI on June 20th with an approved application and confirmed adoption. The adoption fee is $500, which includes transportation costs.
