Peta

My name is Peta, and I'm a sweet 2.5-year-old girl who is ready to finally find my forever home. For most of my life, I didn't know what love felt like. I lived outside on a chain, surviving and having puppies, but never truly feeling like I mattered. I had a scary experience where I almost didn't make it out of a shelter, but thankfully, I was saved. Now, I've been waiting over a year to find my family, watching others go home while I'm still here. I promise I'm trying my best to be the perfect companion. I absolutely adore people and will shower you with snuggles and kisses. Belly rubs are my favorite – I'll even wiggle and roll over just to make you smile! I'm a little goofy and love to make people laugh.

Ideal Home

I would do best in a home with bigger kids who can laugh and play with me. I'd also prefer to be the only dog, as I have more than enough love, silliness, and loyalty to share with my humans all by myself.

I am vetted, spayed, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I'm eager to please and ready to learn. With a loving family, I know I can overcome my past and be the best girl.
