Ransom

Ransom is a 9-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer full of high energy, affection, and goofy charm. He's a true people-pleaser who loves making everyone laugh with his playful antics. Ransom is incredibly friendly and would likely make friends with anyone he meets, even the mailman! He thrives on activity and would be happiest in a home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit, whether that means playing fetch, going on hikes, or exploring the outdoors from dawn till dusk.

Ideal Home

Ransom would love an active family who can join him on his many adventures. He also gets along well with other dogs and would benefit from a canine companion who enjoys his playful, energetic nature.

Ongoing Health

Ransom is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and current on preventatives. He has tested negative for heartworm. He will receive an additional exam and health certificate from a state-licensed veterinarian prior to travel. Ransom will also be bathed before adoption.

Training & Support

Ransom knows basic commands like "sit" and is mostly house-trained. However, as he's still young at 9 months old, occasional accidents may happen as he adjusts to a new home and routine.

Transporation

Ransom is currently located at our shelter in Lucedale, MS. He is available for transport to a designated pickup location, with transports generally running every two weeks. Ransom can leave on our next transport on July 31st. You are also welcome to pick him up in person at our shelter at no additional cost. If you choose transport, there is an additional fee of $175.
