Gordo is a roughly 69 lb., American Bully mix with a squishy face and a heart full of affection. He's a gentle, thoughtful, and quietly charming boy who absolutely melts for baby talk and belly rubs. Gordo has a relaxed, low-energy demeanor and enjoys a good game of tug-o-war, but he's also content to entertain himself. He's shown himself to be friendly and confident with other dogs, preferring to observe rather than be the center of attention. When another dog gets a little too pushy, Gordo handles it with grace by simply walking away or offering a gentle correction. He would do best with dogs his size or larger, ideally a calm, aloof female companion.
Ideal Home
Gordo would thrive in a home with a steady, confident person who can provide gentle guidance and a lot of love. He would do best with older children and no cats.
Ongoing Health
Gordo is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, and a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Gordo has basic leash skills but can be strong due to his size, so he'll need someone who can confidently guide him. He is food-motivated and eager to learn, responding well to positive reinforcement and engaging training. He is continuing to practice controlling his goofy side and wants to do the right thing. Someone familiar with bully breeds who understands how to channel enthusiasm into good habits will be ideal.
