Summer

Summer is a 7-year-old Hound mix with a sweet, playful, loyal, and loving personality. She may be shy at first but warms up quickly and becomes a devoted companion who enjoys following her person around, being petted, and getting belly rubs. She is independent while still appreciating companionship and affection.

Ideal Home

Summer would thrive with someone who can provide plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and companionship. She is strong and enthusiastic on leash, may pull, and gets excited around other dogs, so her adopter should be comfortable continuing to work on her leash manners.

Ongoing Health

Summer's $300 adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. Dogs are also up to date on age-appropriate flea and heartworm prevention before adoption.

Training & Support

Summer is crate trained, potty trained, house trained, and leash trained, though she is still working on leash manners. She knows “sit” and “stay,” waits for permission before eating, learns quickly, and does not beg during meals.
