A little about them

William Wallace (“Wally”) is a friendly, confident, curious livestock guardian puppy who has come a long way from his feral beginnings. Born on a Central Texas ranch, he grew up around Boer goats, longhorn cattle, barn cats, and many livestock guardian dogs. He has been introduced to unrelated dogs and a house cat, and his likely heritage includes Akbash, Anatolian, and Great Pyrenees.

Ideal Home

Wally has experience around goats, cattle, cats, and other dogs. He will need continued patience and positive support as he builds confidence with household life and leash walking.

Ongoing Health

Wally had a small neck bump surgically removed. It was diagnosed as a benign histiocytoma. He has received vaccinations, and his rescue continues working to ensure the dogs from the ranch are vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

  • He had a great start on house and potty training in foster care.
  • He has experience with crate training and is receiving a refresher course.
  • Leash walking remains a work in progress and will require additional practice.
