She does have a habit of jumping up to greet people.

Remy is very smart and thrives on positive reinforcement training! She absolutely loves to play with toys and is learning to patiently wait for her people to pick one up and throw it for her, though she might try to beat you to it. She's not possessive of her food, toys, or her people.

One of Remy's unique quirks is her obsession with light reflections on ceilings and walls, similar to a cat with a laser pointer. This can make her impulsive, and she might jump on things trying to reach these moving lights. It's best to supervise her indoors when these reflections are present to prevent her from accidentally bumping into or jumping on anything.

While Remy is great at home with her furry companions, she can sometimes get overstimulated by the sight of other dogs or animals during leashed walks or when separated by a barrier like a window or fence. When this happens, she can pull strongly and will need a handler with a firm hand to guide her. She might even "sing opera" as she passes by! We recommend focusing on playtime at home, training, car rides for pup cups, and walks during quieter times or in less populated areas. She enjoys hikes and leashed beach walks but is not suited for dog parks or dog beaches due to the potential for negative interactions with other dogs that might not understand her excitable and strong play style. She has previously lived with cats, small dogs, and a large dog, but will need to meet any resident pets before adoption to ensure a good match.
