Raya

Raya is a sweet 3-year-old girl who weighs around 45 lbs. She started life on the Rez and, after having a litter of puppies and a run-in with a porcupine, she's now ready to find her furever home! Raya loves to play and zoom around with toys, and would really enjoy a canine companion to roughhouse with. She's also a champion snuggler and enjoys napping with her humans.

Ideal Home

Raya would love a home with a dog friend to play with, as she enjoys roughhousing and zooming. She has a strong prey drive, so she cannot live with cats or other small animals. She also prefers sleeping in a plastic kennel over a wire one. A home where humans are around a lot, or a work-from-home situation, would help her feel more comfortable. While her fosters haven't experienced it, a previous home reported that she would escape the house and run away, so a secure environment is important. She hasn't been kid-tested but can be if the home has children.

Ongoing Health

Raya is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Raya is kennel trained and house-trained. She does have some separation anxiety and would benefit from a home willing to work with her, or a dog friend to keep her company in her kennel. She previously broke out of a wire kennel, so it's important to provide her with a comfortable and secure plastic kennel.
