Hi there! My name is Trinket, and I'm a 3-year-old, 64.60 lb female American Staffordshire Terrier. I'm a sweet and gentle girl who is incredibly stressed by the shelter environment. I promise, the real me is calm, loving, and just wants to be close to my people. I'm already potty trained, know how to "sit," and I take treats ever so gently. When I'm out of my kennel, I walk nicely on a leash and absolutely melt for ear rubs. I've been at the shelter since 2/2/26 and I can't wait to leave this overwhelming place behind.

Ideal Home

I need a quiet and safe home where I can finally relax and be myself. The current shelter environment is too much for me, causing me to lick walls, drool, and get scared when staff clean around me. I thrive when I'm out with people and just want a calm space to decompress.

Ongoing Health

While I'm currently BAR (Bright, Alert, and Responsive) and mentally appropriate, the extended time in the shelter has caused me significant stress and anxiety. It's recommended that I find an adopter or rescue by 4/4 to prevent further mental decline.

Training & Support

I'm a quick learner and already know "sit"! I'm also potty trained and walk well on a leash. I enjoy ear rubs and am very gentle when taking treats. I also passed resource guarding tests and did well on a temporary test with a male dog. My main need is a patient adopter who can help me de-stress and show me the ropes in a peaceful environment.
