Rufus is a delightful mixed-breed, approximately 1.8 years old, with a heart full of love and gratitude. He was rescued from a Texas kill shelter just in time, and is now ready to find his forever home. Rufus is a blend of breeds, likely with Lab and Cattle Dog in his lineage, but what's certain is his gentle and sweet nature. He has a sturdy build, captivating soulful eyes, and an endless capacity for affection. Rufus is a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and showing no aggression towards farm animals. He even enjoys giving gentle kisses to pigs! Walks with Rufus are a pleasure as he's calm, attentive, and eager to please. He thrives on human connection, showering his people with kisses and leaning in for cuddles. Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive but has already begun slow-kill treatment. This diagnosis is part of his healing journey and doesn't define his loving spirit or his appreciation for a second chance at life.
