Sheldon

Sheldon is a charming 4-month-old male Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of hope for a second chance at a forever home. He's had a bit of a rough start, returning to us after an early adoption. Sheldon is a big boy who will likely grow into a large, strong dog, so be prepared for an "Ironman" of a companion! He's eager to please, especially when he knows he's being a good boy, and he thrives on love and praise. He's learning quickly, and while redirection is sometimes needed (as is typical for a puppy in his "toddler years"), he follows direction well from his human family and other dogs. He enjoys walks and exploring the outdoors, and he's even happy to hitch a ride on your shoulder!

Ideal Home

Sheldon would do best in a home with a confident, "alpha" dog who can serve as a mentor, guiding him on his role in the household. He looks to other dogs for direction and follows cues well from his human family.

Ongoing Health

Sheldon is neutered and vaccinated. Feeding was a challenge for his litter, so he requires separate feeding to ensure he can eat without competition. He's doing wonderfully with slow-feeding methods and eating in a designated space.

Training & Support

As a young puppy, Sheldon is in his "toddler years" and may need redirection. He's learning to be house-trained and is doing well. He's a big pup with a lot of potential for training.
