Cola

Cola is an approximately 6-year-old, spayed female lab mix. Rescued during the 2020 pandemic lockdown, Cola faced a devastating injury that resulted in the loss of her hind legs. Despite this, she lives her life with unhindered joy and an unbreakable spirit. She loves to run, sunbathe, and be her lively self. Cola joined Twenty Paws Rescue in March 2023 and her inspiring story gained national attention. After a previous adoption didn't work out, she is back with us, thriving in a foster home that understands her needs. Cola is affectionate, people-loving, and eager to connect. She enjoys attention, cuddles, and being part of daily life. While she has a custom wheelchair, she often prefers moving independently and is working on training with it. Cola's story is a powerful reminder that joy comes from the heart.

Cola would thrive in a calm, patient environment. She would do well as an only pet or with compatible companions. A home that understands her past and celebrates her strength is essential.

Ongoing Health

Cola is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is currently in good health. She benefits from joint and muscle support supplements. She is working to get down to a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Cola is doing well in her foster home, where her confidence is being built and she is kept active. She navigates her environment with impressive agility and handles steps. She is working on training with her wheelchair.
