What we know: Local owner surrender. Brought in by an in-home caregiver who noticed puppy never got outside time and was told the plan was to use her for continuous breeding. Original owner eventually asked caregiver to take her, who planned on keeping her. Family ended up unable to keep her and surrendered to CPR. 4 months old at intake.

From the foster: Meet Cali! Cali is a delightfully chunky little lovebug with a big heart and an even bigger desire to be the best girl ever. She's mastering potty training with plenty of backyard adventures, adores kids, and thinks every playful dog is a potential best friend. Even our resident grumpy senior dog has taken her under his wing-and Cali is smart enough to listen to when he says he's had enough of her puppy antics! She'll happily follow you from room to room like a shadow. At bedtime, she offers a brief protest from her crate ("Just checking if you'll change your mind!"), then settles in like a champ. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with extra squish and endless affection, Cali is your girl!
