Gina is a delightful 8-month-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing around 56lbs. She was found abandoned in a cardboard box near a busy road as a tiny puppy. Despite her rough start, she's blossomed in foster care and is ready to find her forever family! Gina is a playful pup who enjoys the company of other dogs, especially smaller ones. She loves a good game of tug-of-war and will often bring toys to her foster siblings to invite them to play. While she can be a bit shy around unfamiliar larger dogs due to a past negative experience, she lives harmoniously with dogs under 15lbs and over 75lbs. She's a bit too excited by cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who can provide plenty of daily play and exercise. She would do well with older, dog-savvy children (10+). A home with another dog is recommended to keep her company and help her burn off energy. She would also be happy with a couple or an individual adopter who understands the commitment of raising a large, active dog.
Ongoing Health
Gina is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has no known ongoing health conditions at this time.
Training & Support
Gina is crate trained and making great progress with house training, with no accidents when crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and doesn't show signs of separation anxiety. She's in her "puppy velociraptor stage," so she'll need guidance on appropriate chew toys and positive reinforcement training to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.
