Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who is still learning the ropes of everyday life. He came to us from a hoarding situation with over 40 dogs, where while the dogs were cared for, socialization was limited. Riggs is a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and takes his time to observe new situations. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and would benefit from a confident canine companion in his new home to help him feel more secure and provide a good example.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a home with a fenced yard for his safety and peace of mind, as he can be startled by loud noises and sudden commotion. He would do best with older children, 10 and up, who are calm and respectful, as he is not comfortable with boisterous or grabby interactions. He thrives in a quiet environment and would prefer his new family to be mindful of his dislike for the Fourth of July and other noisy events.
