Oliver

Oliver is a special needs Yorkshire Terrier mix with a heart of gold, though he can be a bit of a moody fellow. He is rear paralyzed and requires daily manual bladder expression. This can be a challenge, and he is not for the inexperienced adopter or one who hasn't considered the financial and physical requirements of caring for a paralyzed pet. He was surrendered to us because his previous family could no longer care for him, and we are committed to finding him a home where he will be cherished and understood. Despite his medical needs, Oliver gets along with other animals and can be a wonderful companion for the right patient person. He can be super friendly, but also a bit nippy and introspective at times, so a skilled adopter with the time to work with him is essential.

A patient and experienced adopter who understands the commitment and care required for a special needs dog. Someone who can dedicate the time and resources to manage his paralysis and occasional moodiness.

Oliver is rear paralyzed and requires daily manual bladder expression. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He will be undergoing a dental procedure soon.

Training & Support

Oliver can be moody, ranging from super friendly to nippy and introspective. He needs an adopter skilled in understanding and working with his temperament and needs.
