Say hello to William, a 5-year-old, 85-pound Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix who believes humans are the absolute best! William is a master cuddler and will lean into you for maximum petting. He's a natural protector, a flock guardian at heart, even without sheep to watch over.

Ideal Home

William needs to be the only dog in the home as he doesn't like to share his human's attention. He also needs a home without cats, as he has recently decided they are not okay. Due to his protective instincts and tendency to "guard" those he cares about, William would do best in a home with no children or teenagers. He loves them, but can become overwhelmed trying to protect them, especially when they have friends over. This dog is not for first-time owners; he requires an owner with experience in handling flock guardian breeds. A securely fenced yard is a must, as William enjoys patrolling his territory.

William is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

William thrives on outdoor supervision but his greatest joy is being by your side. His guardian instincts are strong, and he needs an owner who understands and can manage these protective behaviors.

Transporation

William is located at our rescue in the Eastern Panhandle of WV. We can provide transport to most areas of the US and Canada for an additional fee.
