Murphy

Meet Murphy, a very sweet seven-month-old Chihuahua possibly Dachshund mix with the gentlest disposition you could ask for. Murphy was found abandoned and covered in fleas, and he waited at the Bakersfield shelter for four months hoping someone would notice him. We truly cannot understand how anyone passed up that sweet face and calm, loving nature, but we are so glad he is still here and ready to find his people. Murphy is quiet, gentle, and trusting. He loves coming up for calm cuddles and settling in close to the people he trusts. Given what he has been through, he would do best in a calm and quiet home where he can decompress at his own pace and truly learn what it feels like to be safe and loved. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and we believe he would also do well with dog-friendly cats and calm, gentle children.
