Meet Reese — A Young Soul Ready to Belong

Reese is a 1-year-old, 59-pound Alaskan Husky with a joyful spirit and a gentle, affectionate nature. He was found on the streets of Harris County, TX, and brought to a busy shelter. Despite his past, Reese is incredibly loving and trusts people. He is excellent with other dogs and people, always eager to connect. Reese walks beautifully on leash without pulling, is treat-motivated, and already knows how to sit. He does have a habit of jumping up to ask for pets, which can be worked on with training. Reese loves being touched from head to toe, enjoys hugs, and thrives on human connection. He would do well in most homes, but an active home is preferred to meet his exercise needs.

Ongoing Health

Reese is up to date on all vaccines and neutered. He tested positive for heartworm but has started slow-kill treatment and is recovering.

Training & Support

Reese will happily jump up to ask for more pets, which can be a habit to work on. He is treat-motivated and smart, showing a willingness to learn.
