About Triton

Triton came to us as a stray, a bit matted and with a unique gait. Our rescue partners saw his charm and took him in, cleaning him up and discovering his funny walk is due to a birth defect where both his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. Despite this, Triton gets around quite well and is mobile on his own. Due to some wear and tear on his knees, he does have arthritis and is on daily anti-inflammatories. While a wheelchair might be in his future, for now, he's happy exploring on his own terms. Triton isn't a big walker, but he absolutely loves belly rubs and being with his people. He's generally a mellow dog with occasional bursts of playful energy, and dinner time is his favorite part of the day! He enjoys toys, but he also likes to eat them, so only durable chew toys and bones are recommended for him, no stuffies. Could you be the special person Triton is looking for?

Ideal Home

Triton would love a home where he can be close to his people. He enjoys playtime and belly rubs.

Ongoing Health

Triton has arthritis due to a birth defect in his femurs. He is currently on daily anti-inflammatories. A wheelchair may be needed in the future.

Training & Support

Triton enjoys toys but has a tendency to eat them, so he should not be given stuffed toys. Durable chew bones are a good alternative.
