Ideal Home

Valkyrie would thrive in a home where all household members can be present to meet her, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers.

Ongoing Health

All dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

Valkyrie is not yet house-trained. We recommend slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions for any resident dogs, and we can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets here at the shelter. Please bring proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your current dog(s).

Transportation

Valkyrie is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Walk-in visitors are welcome daily from 12 pm to 7 pm. If you plan to adopt on the day of your visit, please arrive before 5:30 pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30 pm can still view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7 pm.
