Bucky leads with his heart, he's incredibly affectionate, devoted, and one of the best snuggle buddies you'll ever meet. This sweet Labrador Retriever and American Pitbull Terrier mix is ready to be your shadow, your co-pilot, and your best friend all in one. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and proudly knows his commands like sit, shake, come, and leave it. Bucky has a special talent for car rides, squeaky toys, and earning every belly rub he can get!
Bucky is impressively intelligent and a true thinker. He picks up new commands quickly and learns with ease, showing that the sky is the limit when it comes to his training potential. With the right guidance, he could master advanced obedience, learn fun new tricks, or simply become the most well-mannered companion. He bonds deeply with his people and thrives in a calm, structured home where he can soak up all the attention. His handsome, cream-colored coat and big, huggable frame make him a whole lot of love who knows exactly how to make himself at home on the couch beside you.
Ideal Home
Bucky will thrive as the only pet in the home. With an experienced guardian, he may be able to share his space with a calm, giant-breed companion. Due to his high prey drive, he is not suited to homes with cats or small animals. After an altercation in his foster home, he has shown some reactivity around pushy or assertive dogs.
Ongoing Health
Bucky has a few sensitivities. Loud noises like hair dryers are not his favorite, and nail trims make him very nervous. However, once he trusts someone, he is all in. His foster dad currently handles nail trims with few problems, which is exactly the kind of devotion Bucky offers when he feels safe.
Training & Support
Bucky is a quick learner and picks up new commands with ease. He thrives in a calm, structured environment. Consistency, structure, and care have helped him flourish in foster care, showing his affectionate, intelligent, and deeply loyal nature.

Transporation
Bucky is currently in Charlotte, NC. His family is willing to travel long-distance for the right home and is committed to helping Bucky get to the family where he truly belongs.
