Carlee

My name is Carlee, and I'm a 7-year-old, 27 lb sweetheart looking for my forever home! I came from a commercial breeding facility where I spent my whole life making puppies. When the breeder closed down, SIRA rescued me and many other dogs. It was a scary new world at first, but now I realize I've hit the jackpot! My foster home has a big fenced yard, which is my absolute favorite place. I love to run laps with a goofy grin because I'm so happy to be free! It took me a while to trust my foster family, as humans were frightening before. But I'm becoming braver and even enjoy cuddles and sitting on the couch with them.

Ideal Home

I need a securely fenced yard to run and play in. I'd also prefer a home without small children, as they can be a bit overwhelming for me. Gentle and patient older kids are okay, though! I get along well with cats and would enjoy a canine friend to help me adjust, but I could also be happy as an only pet with a patient family.

Ongoing Health

I'm a healthy girl, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

I'm learning to walk on a leash, but I'm not quite a pro yet, so a fenced yard is essential. I can be shy or scared at first, so patience is key.
