Buddy Edward is a middle-aged Shih Tzu with a charming waddle and a snort that will steal your heart! He's a happy fellow who loves to snuggle on laps and is always ready for a car ride. Buddy came to us a bit on the heavier side, but with a special diet and a little extra love, he's on his way to a healthier weight. His coat is a beautiful mix of white and tan, and while he had some bare spots from past skin infections, his fur is growing back wonderfully. He's already up-to-date on all his vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.
Ideal Home
Buddy would thrive in a home where he can be showered with attention. He enjoys the company of cats, small dogs, and big dogs, so a multi-pet household is perfectly fine!
Ongoing Health
Buddy's current focus is on managing his weight to prevent any future health issues. He's on a special diet and has special kibble, with one meal a day. His vet has confirmed his bloodwork looks great, but continued weight management is key for his long-term health.
Training & Support
Buddy is already leash-trained and potty-trained, which is fantastic! He does require extensive grooming due to his breed, so regular trips to the salon are a must.

Transporation
Buddy Edward is currently being fostered in Texas. Transport options are available to the PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN), or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) through our pet transport partners. Due to his size, Buddy is also eligible for travel via Southwest Airlines from Houston to any major airport approved by SWAAT. Canadian adopters will need to drive to meet locations in the USA.
