Vega

Hi there, I'm Vega! I'm a 6-year-old, 70-pound, brindle and white Boxer with a heart full of love and a zest for adventure. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who can keep up with my energetic spirit and shower me with unconditional love. I'm an extremely loving, smart, and adventurous boy who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. My foster mom says I'm super fun to work with and would excel at dog sports because I'm so eager to please, especially if treats are involved! I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm all set to join your family.

Ideal Home

I need a firm owner who will provide me with plenty of exercise and take me on adventures, as I'm definitely not a couch potato! I'm dog selective and would do best with slow introductions to new canine friends. Due to my high prey drive, I should not be around cats or other small animals. I do well with kids, but older children would be best given my size and energy level.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration, but I'm making great progress and learning to manage these behaviors. I also need more practice with leash training as I tend to pull hard; a gentle leader might be helpful.
