Zac is a 5-year-old, neutered male Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs about 60 pounds. He was rescued from a county shelter and is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas. Zac is a loyal companion with a perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back cuddles. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and people, thriving on attention and affection. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys toys and treats. Zac can be a bit of a conversationalist, especially if dinner is running late, and has a sweet habit of gazing lovingly into your eyes. He has done well meeting new people and enjoys car rides.
Ideal Home
Zac would do best in a home where he won't spend long periods alone, as he thrives on companionship. He seems happiest when he has another dog around or people nearby to share life with. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he'd do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when he gets excited.
Ongoing Health
Zac underwent FHO surgery on a rear leg due to a previous injury. He has healed well from the procedure, and no further medical intervention or medications are needed.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. His foster home is working on teaching him not to jump up when he gets excited. He has no known resource guarding.
