Davidson

Meet Davidson, a 3-year-old, 53-pound Labrador mix affectionately known as Davie. He's a sweet and gentle boy who is learning to trust that the world can be a safe place. Davie came to us underweight and with the emotional scars of past abuse, so he needs a patient and understanding adopter to help him build confidence. He is timid and easily startled, tending to shut down when scared rather than react. Davie has shown no signs of aggression, only fear. He responds best to calm guidance and positive reinforcement. He can be nervous around men but is making progress with his foster dad, allowing pets and venturing outside on leash. Recently, he's started wagging his tail and even doing a little gallop when he feels brave. Davie has shown friendly interest in the puppies in his foster home, happily sniffing noses through their pen and wagging his tail. He is also crate-trained and doing well with no accidents.

Ideal Home

Davie needs a very secure environment and an adopter who is diligent with leashing, gates, and other safety precautions.
