Mia

Mia, also known as "Pork Chop," is a sweet 5-year-old Aussie mix who's found her way back to rescue. She was first brought in as a stray in 2022 and later reunited with her previous owner who had been searching for her. Sadly, circumstances led her to be found as a stray again, this time exhausted in the middle of a busy road. Thankfully, a kind stranger rescued her and contacted us via her microchip.

Mia arrived needing some serious grooming and has gained some weight, tipping the scales at 87 pounds. But don't let that fool you – she's a healthy, happy girl who's spayed and up-to-date on her shots.

Ideal Home

Mia loves her people and wants to be with them! While a fenced yard isn't a strict requirement, a family who can demonstrate how they'll keep her safe while her recall is being reliably established is a must. We're recommending older children (10+) for Mia, as we're still assessing her comfort level with younger kids.

Ongoing Health

Mia is currently overweight and her foster family is working with her to help her shed those extra pounds.

Training & Support

Mia is already crate trained and housebroken! She initially seemed to get along with other dogs, but has had some incidents with new dogs. She would do best in a home with an assertive but calm dog. We don't know how she is with cats.
