Hi there! I’m Gibby! My brothers and I were found as little babies on the side of the road in Kentucky. While my brothers have found their forever homes, I'm still waiting for my special family to find me. I’m a unique blend of breeds, with over 15 in my background, including Rottie, Pitty, Am Staf, Boxer, American Bulldog, Lab, Collie, Golden, and even Chihuahua! My ears are quite expressive and change with my mood – it’s the silliest thing! I'm a smart and loving boy who enjoys protecting my home, my feline and canine siblings, and even helping out in the horse barn (though I know not to enter the pasture!). I'm also curious about the chickens and ducks, and I have a knack for finding their eggs! I'm working on not barking at or chasing deer, but I do listen when my mom calls me back. I'm a good boy in my crate, which is my safe and cozy napping spot. I enjoy having doggy friends and would love to have a canine sibling or a human best friend to be my shadow. I also love kids, though I tend to get a little too excited and might have an "accident" if they're very young – I'm working on growing out of that! I’m eager to be in charge and am trying to convince my siblings that I'm not the baby of the house anymore! I walk well on a leash, though I'm still learning not to pull as I grow bigger. Obedience classes would be a lot of fun for me, as I love to learn and already know "Come," "Off," "Down," "Sit," "Wait," and "No." I enjoy meeting new people and visiting fun stores, and I'm working on my excitement greetings to avoid startling other dogs. I love to play in the garden, dig holes, and splash in water, whether it's a pond, lake, puddle, or even my water dish! I'm ready to find my forever family and share a lifetime of fun adventures.
Ideal Home
Gibby would love a home with a doggy sibling or someone who wants to be his constant companion. He also enjoys the company of children, but not very young ones.
