Bunga arrived at a small shelter and was so terrified and shut down that he was mistakenly labeled a senior dog. Turns out this handsome guy isn’t ready for bingo night and early bird specials at all—he’s actually a young, goofy, fun-loving pup estimated to be only 1–2 years old. After a few weeks in foster care, the real Bunga has emerged, and wow... what a reveal. He is big, affectionate, and eager to please, dog-friendly with everyone he meets, and playful to the 10th degree. Bunga is extremely food motivated, loves people, and greets new friends with enthusiasm. He spends his days happily playing and napping with his foster dog siblings. We believe Bunga is a gorgeous Anatolian Shepherd mix and he’ll likely fill out to around 80 pounds of pure best-friend material. His foster family says he’s the kind of dog who makes you wonder how he ever ended up homeless in the first place. Despite being underweight when found, he has maintained the sweetest disposition and is incredibly teachable. He already appears to know commands like sit and shake, and he’s eager to learn more.

Ideal Home

Bunga would thrive in a home with another friendly dog who can continue helping him build confidence and show him the ropes.

Bunga has been neutered, is heartworm negative, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Bunga already appears to know commands like sit and shake, and he’s eager to learn more.
