Vega

Hi there, I'm Vega, a 6-year-old, 70-pound brindle and white Boxer mix. I'm a super loving, smart, and adventurous boy who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. I'm eager to please, especially if treats are involved! I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm all set for my new home. My foster mom says I have a lot of drive, which makes me fun to work with and perfect for dog sports.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for an active home with someone who can keep up with me and shower me with unconditional love. I'm no couch potato, so a firm owner who will engage me in adventures is a must. I'm dog selective, so slow introductions to other dogs are needed. I should not be around cats or other small animals due to my high prey drive. I do well with kids, but older children are best due to my size and energy.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I can be crate reactive and experience some barrier frustration, but I'm making great progress in learning to manage these behaviors. I also need more practice with leash training as I tend to pull hard. Tools like a gentle leader might help me learn to walk better.
