Hachi

Meet Hachi! This sweet boy is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs, though he's still working on gaining weight and we think he'll be closer to 60 lbs when he reaches his ideal. Hachi's past was spent in an outdoor kennel after being rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite a difficult start, his heart remained soft, and he's a true love bug who greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit. He adores people and is wonderful with kids, never meeting a stranger he doesn't want to befriend. Things like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with family are treasured by Hachi, who is incredibly resilient and ready for the home he always deserved. He rides well in the car and enjoys adventures, but is equally happy to relax with you. Hachi is a medium-energy dog, always up for fun but also content to curl up beside you.

Ideal Home

Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He would do best with confident dogs after slow introductions, as he can sometimes try to assert himself with more timid pups.

Hachi is still gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs.

Training & Support

Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He does best with slow introductions to other dogs and can sometimes try to play the "big tough guy" with timid dogs.
