Rambo

Meet Carl, also known as Rambo! Carl has been a steadfast and loving resident at the Hanover County Animal Shelter since June 2025, making him their longest-term resident. He's a super goofy guy who absolutely adores toys of all kinds – just be warned, he's quite skilled at destroying plush ones! Carl is incredibly agile and thrives when he gets to spend time playing outside. He truly needs to find his forever home, as he's starting to show signs of stress from shelter life. Carl is a gem who keeps getting overlooked, and we know he'd be an amazing companion.

Ideal Home

Carl needs to be the only dog in his home. However, he can safely interact with other dogs while on leash.

Ongoing Health

Carl is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Carl is house-trained. His playful energy and love for toys are wonderful, but adopters should be prepared for his enthusiastic toy destruction!
