Honey

Hey there! I'm Honey, and I'm as sweet as my name suggests! I'm a charming 3-year-old lady weighing in at about 18lbs of pure love. I was found as a stray back in March 2025 and, after no one came to claim me, I found my way to a wonderful place that helps fearful dogs like me. It took me a little while to warm up, but I'm so excited to say I'm ready for my forever home! I absolutely adore my people once I know I can trust them, and I even enjoy their friends, though it might take me a bit to feel comfortable. My tail starts wagging and I do the happiest dances when you come home – get ready for the wiggles that make you giggle!

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a home with other dogs, as they give me confidence and I love to play and chase balls with them. I also need a home with a fully fenced yard so I can safely go out for potty breaks without needing a leash. Because I can be a bit fearful of quick movements, I need an adult-only home with no children. I also love to chase small, fuzzy animals, so my new home should not have any small pets like cats or small mammals.

Ongoing Health

I'm spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. I will probably always be a bit sensitive to quick movements and things like my leash tangling. It's important to keep up with my grooming by brushing me regularly to prevent matting, and to keep my beautiful fur flowing!

Training & Support

I'm not the dog for a first-time or inexperienced owner, as I can be fearful and easily startled. I need someone with patience, grace, and gentle love. While I can have flashbacks to my past, I promise that with time and trust, I'll blossom into a cherished companion who will play with you and greet you with immense joy.
