Meet Charlie! 🐾 At 15 years young and weighing in at a mighty 10 lbs, Charlie may be small, but he's the undisputed king of his castle! This spunky and fearless little guy is packed full of personality and runs the show with a confident swagger. He's a grumpy old man in an adorable senior body, and we can't get enough of his charm. Charlie loves affection, but he's definitely a 'my terms' kind of guy. He'll happily snuggle up next to you when the mood strikes, becoming your tiny shadow while still cherishing his independence.
Charlie's story is as special as he is. He was surrendered to an emergency vet when his elderly owner entered hospice care and had no one to take him in. Facing euthanasia simply due to having nowhere to go, a kind ER doctor intervened and brought him home. For the past three years, Charlie has been showered with love, but now he's ready and eager for his forever home. In foster care, he's lived harmoniously with big and small dogs, cats, and humans of all ages, somehow always emerging as the pack leader! He enjoys trotting around the yard, supervising outdoor activities, meticulously sniffing every inch, and giving the other dogs his signature managerial fuss.
Despite his sassy exterior, Charlie is an incredibly easy companion. He comes when called, sleeps soundly through the night, is crate and potty trained, and boasts excellent house manners. He's not destructive, keeps his space clean, and even with a few missing teeth, he happily crunches kibble and hard treats like a pro. Charlie is ready to spend his golden years with someone who appreciates a confident senior with a huge heart and an even bigger personality.
