Mae is a 1-year-old Husky mix with a soft spirit and an even softer heart. This petite girl weighs only 28 pounds and is currently underweight, but she's on her way to better days and is ready for a fresh start filled with care and kindness. Mae came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of her own, and it's clear she's had a rough start in life. Despite that, she remains incredibly sweet, gentle, and quietly resilient. She may be a little reserved at first, but she has a calm, peaceful nature that shines through once she feels safe. This lovely girl is dog friendly and seems to enjoy the comfort of other calm canine companions. She's not a high-energy whirlwind--instead, Mae is quiet, easygoing, and happiest just being near her people in a calm environment where she can finally relax and feel secure. Mae is still learning what it means to feel safe and cared for, but she's already showing that she wants to trust and bond with people who will be patient with her. With love, stability, and time, she is sure to blossom into a devoted companion.

- Adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
- Dogs over 6 months old: $100.
- Adoptions are first come, first served. Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption; you must meet the animal in person.
- Renters must bring a lease or a letter from their landlord stating they may adopt.

Mae is located at Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, 1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd, Danielsville, GA 30633. The shelter is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
