You saw his face, the soft smile is what grabbed you, it is such a good smile! This is King, an easy-going, aspiring toy collector, and perfectly friendly dog who doesn't need to be the center of attention to quietly win you over. King is estimated to be around 2 years old and currently weighs 50 lbs, but will settle in closer to 55-60 lbs. He appears to be an American Bully/Pittie mix, and as always with rescue, breed and age are our best guess.
King has a calm, observant energy. He is friendly when meeting new people but isn't overly eager for attention. He accepts affection and leans into it when offered, but he won't demand it. His joy comes from toys! He loves carrying them, squeaking them, and showing them off. King is a dog who knows how to coexist without needing constant attention.
With other dogs, King is confident but thoughtful. He offers happy greetings and is then content to simply hang out, even if play isn't involved. He's generally aloof and unbothered once introductions are complete.
Ideal Home
King is not a fit for apartment living because he can be strong on leash when he sees something he wants to get to. He would do best in a home with a yard where he can wander, sniff, and enjoy his independence.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned in the listing.
Training & Support
King has the basics down on leash but will need continued guidance. He can be strong when he sees something he wants to get to, so he will benefit from practice alongside structure and consistency. His energy level is medium to low, and he easily settles into a relaxed, independent groove.
