Hi there! I'm Hazel, and I'm a sweet, snuggly goofball with the most charming mismatched ears – one stands up, and the other flops down! My foster mom calls me "velcro girl" because I'm such a cuddlebug. I love exploring the world, but I'm not a fan of the windchill! I also enjoy giving surprise-attack kisses and have the most adorable twitchy dreams.
Ideal Home
I'm a big fan of kids and I'm currently living with three wonderful ones between 7 months and 5 years old. I love giving them sweet kisses, and they enjoy petting me and having me follow them around. Sometimes I accidentally step on them, but I'm learning to be gentle! I also get along wonderfully with my 9-year-old pit bull housemate; we love to play and then take naps together. He even helps me be brave when it's cold outside. I would love a home with plenty of attention and snuggles to offer. A yard would be fantastic for playing fetch, but I'd also be happy if you leash me up for runs. If you're someone who likes to carry your furry friends around, that's a bonus!
Ongoing Health
I'm a puppy and still working on holding it for eight hours, but I'm potty trained and do my best to wait until I go outside, usually holding it for six hours without an accident.
Training & Support
I've mastered "sit" and am working on "stay," "leave it," "up," "down," and "shake." I would absolutely love to take a training class with you, as I thrive on attention, treats, and praise. I'm eager to learn and love to please! Since I'm still a puppy, I enjoy chewing, but I'm easily redirected if I grab something I shouldn't. I have a delightful prancy trot on walks and celebrate potty breaks with grand-jetes and pirouettes! My biggest motivators are treats, praise, chew/squeaky toys, and quality time playing fetch. I go into my kennel without complaint if a chewy treat is involved. While I usually settle quickly, I might give a little bark if you're still in sight or earshot after I finish my treat. I sleep soundly in my kennel at night.
