Smoky

Smoky is a playful, curious, social, active, and very friendly 2.5-year-old lab/pit/pug/chihuahua mix who weighs 31 lbs. He was surrendered because his former owners couldn't afford a taller fence, as Smoky has a tendency to jump or climb over fences. His previous owners tried various methods to keep him contained, including an invisible fence, chicken wire, and a lead, all without success. While his neuter surgery may help, a securely fenced yard is still recommended. Smoky enjoys pets, tug-o-war, cuddling, roughhousing, and running! He's lived successfully with both large and small dogs and is great with kids, including a baby. He is house-trained and kennel-trained, and will alert you when he needs to go outside.

Ideal Home

Smoky would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, preferably a tall one, to accommodate his adventurous spirit. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Smoky has been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Smoky is house-trained and kennel-trained. He is known to jump or climb fences, so a secure yard is essential.
